The reception and secretarial staff are employed to help you, and carry out their duties as instructed by the doctors. They are available to assist you between 8.00am and 6.00pm Mon – Fri. Please remember that if you are kept waiting, or seem to be asked annoying questions, they are only carrying out the doctor’s instructions in order to assist the smooth running of the practice. This information may be needed in order for the doctor to judge the urgency of your call, so do expect to be asked, especially if requesting a home visit.

Practice Sister
Sarah Everett – BSc, RGN, RSCN, Nurse Prescriber
Diplomas in Diabetes, Asthma, Women’s Health, & COPD.
Our Practice Sister is a fully qualified Nurse Practitioner and is able to offer you full and comprehensive care in all the traditional nursing skills, and offers expertise in health promotion and family planning matters. She also provides a range of services including well woman clinic, asthma, diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), COPD (respiratory), sexual health screening, epilepsy, stroke and coronary heart disease, as well as offering advice on smoking, alcohol, fitness and diet and lifestyle. Sister Everett is also trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, and prescribes for areas of her speciality.
Health Care Support Worker
Elaine White
Elaine used to be a Practice Nurse until she retired and now is our Health Care Support Worker. She carries out phlebotomy, injections, blood pressure monitoring and measurements of pulse, weight etc.
Practice Pharmacist
Jo Johnstone – BPharm (Hons) (Otago 1996), Primary Care MSc (Glasgow 2016)
Our practice pharmacist offers medication reviews, particularly for elderly patients and those with a large number of medicines (polypharmacy reviews). She works closely with practice staff to ensure safe and clinically effective prescribing of medicines.
